Charles Stanley has a way of taking a truth about God and making me stop to really think about it. To intensely focus on God. Again and again, I found myself turning back to Scripture, thinking about who God is, and asking how that truth should change the way I live today.
That is what I loved most about Knowing the God Who Never Changes.
The amazing, unchanging truths in these pages kept pressing me back to Scripture and to what it really means to know God and know Him more deeply. Knowing Him should affect the way I trust Him, obey Him, worship Him, and live before Him. I kept thinking about how much I want my life to honor and glorify God in the ordinary days … and ordinary moments, too.
God does not change. His character does not shift with my circumstances. His faithfulness is not dependent on how I feel that day. That truth brings so much comfort and also calls me to trust Him more deeply … and to be more faithful and loyal to Him.
I will return to this again and again … like every day for years. I want to read it slowly, keep it close, and let the Scriptures and truths sink in over and over again.
Honestly, I want extra copies to give away. I will be purchasing many copies to fulfill this goal.
I want to keep growing in these truths for the rest of my life. I want to know Him more, trust Him more, obey Him more faithfully, and keep becoming a woman whose life reflects Him.
This is a book I will not shelve. It will stay close to me, ready to be opened again and again, day or night.
