I am so glad I read The Last Noel.

Christmas suspense already had my attention. Three novellas by Sarah Hamaker, Jayna Breigh, and Kimberley Woodhouse made me want this one even more.

Each story gave me something different. One had me genuinely nervous. One made me think deeply about forgiveness. One wrapped Christmas warmth around a story where danger was never very far away.

I never had to wonder where hope came from in these stories. The characters pray. They seek God. They think about His will. They turn to Him when they are afraid, uncertain, hurting, or trying to make the right decision. Their faith is part of how they live.

Christmas means something here too. The incarnation, forgiveness, reconciliation, and the reason Christ came are all present in these pages. One line captured exactly what I was feeling while I read: “The true meaning of Christmas—Jesus. The greatest gift of all.” Yes. That is Christmas!

I laughed. I worried. I wanted certain people to communicate already. I kept turning pages because I needed to know what happened next. I loved the suspense, the romance, the Christmas atmosphere, and how different each story felt.

Most of all, I loved knowing where the hope was. Jesus was right there in the middle of it.

The Last Noel gave me the kind of Christmas fiction I want to read. Jesus. The greatest gift of all.

I am very, very glad I read this book.
