5 Stars!
So much of life can feel ordinary. Meals. Conversations. Home. Family. Paying attention. Choosing what gets our time and what does not. Yet those ordinary choices are doing something in us.
One thought especially grabbed me: I am still becoming too.
It is easy to think about what our choices are building in our children or the people around us, but they are also shaping who we are becoming before God.
Ruth Chou Simons continually brings the reader back to Jesus and to faithfulness in the life God has actually given us. I appreciated the reminders to be present, to really see people, to stay connected as seasons change, and to stop treating ordinary moments as though they do not matter.
They do matter.
This was beautiful, convicting in places, encouraging in others, and full of reminders I will strive to remember. I finished it wanting to pay better attention to the life and people God has placed right in front of me, and to the cultivation of my own heart and my transformation before my amazing Savior.
I received an eARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. I am not required to write a positive review nor paid to do so. This is my honest and unbiased review. My thoughts and opinions expressed in this book review are my own. My review focuses on biblical faithfulness, clarity of message, and the author’s ability to illuminate Scripture with accuracy and affection for Christ, ensuring transparency and trustworthy reflection of the book’s spiritual depth and value.
