4 Stars!
Jack is a captivating blend of romance, suspense, and personal growth. I loved how Susan May Warren skillfully balances Jack and Harper’s complex past with the tension of their present. The changing connection between them is heartwarming and full of grit, making it very difficult to put down.
Jack’s dad shares a powerful truth with Jack: “You were created for the outrageous, overwhelming, wonderful love of heaven. Stop telling yourself what you’re supposed to do and simply let God work in you to do. Then, and only then, will you truly stop searching and satisfy this restless itch. The greatest find is waking up every day to the excitement of seeing what God will do.” These words echo throughout the book, reminding us that true peace and fulfillment come from trust God fully and being confident in His perfect timing.
While the book doesn’t shout about faith, it subtly weaves in themes of forgiveness, purpose, and second chances. Jack certainly has me excited for the next book in the Kingston series. I’m eager to see how the rest of the family’s stories unfold!
