4 Stars!
I didn’t plan to read this within 24 hours, but the urgency wouldn’t let go. The ache inside these characters echoed something deeper. Panic. Pain. Pressure building. And under it all, the quiet question no one says out loud: Is God still here?
Dekker isn’t a man of easy answers. He’s carrying memory and fear, trying to breathe faith again. “God saved not only my physical life, but my faith. I surrendered back to Him, Blair.” He says it like it costs something … and it does. Surrender always does.
The danger was sharp. But the pain was sharper. And somehow, God was still there … moving in the margins, holding the thread. “He was in every detail of their lives…” Not a polished promise, but something raw. A whisper of hope held together by grace.
And then, tucked quietly in the middle of it all: Hope that comes from God. Steady. Enough.
For anyone who’s walked through pain with breath held tight and faith held quiet, Danger in the Wilderness may echo something deep.
