5 Stars!
There are stars in this story, but the light I kept noticing came from somewhere far deeper.
“God is faithful.”
Those three words sit beside questions that are much harder to answer. “I want to believe God has a purpose in all of this, but why does He feel so far away when I need Him most?” I loved that the story allowed both to exist together. Trusting God and aching for His nearness. Believing He has a purpose while still wondering what He is doing.
Then obedience begins to ask more.
“God asks us to walk a different road. One of justice, mercy, and humility.”
“You can choose to serve God’s will, even if it means losing everything.”
That is where this story became especially meaningful to me. Following God can become costly. Doing what is right before Him can change the direction of everything we thought our lives would be. And still, “God’s path may be harder, but it is always the right one.”
I loved that even astronomy became part of seeing Him more clearly, because “the heavens declare the glory of God.” The stars were never simply beautiful things overhead. They pointed beyond themselves to their Creator.
There is something deeply beautiful about a story that lets faith wrestle, obey, surrender, and still look upward.
God is faithful. Even when His road is hard. Even when we cannot yet understand where He is leading.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley to read and review. As always, all opinions are my own.
